There’s only a fine line between outer space and Athens, Georgia, according to Against Me! drummer Atom Willard. “This was one of the most difficult videos we’ve ever made because it was filmed in outer space,” he reflects. “The time it took to get there alone was enough to make some bands back down from the challenge, but we really believed it was the only way to fully realize our vision.”

Atom is referring to the music video for “Crash”, the third single off the Gainsville band’s forthcoming record Shape Shift With Me. “Crash” is one of the most pop sensible songs we’ve heard from Against Me! to date.

The feel good, retro video finds the band dancing around in KISS makeup in a small room somewhere in outer space (or perhaps the 40 Watt Club in Georgia). Filmed in just one shot, the video seems fitting for the rare Against Me! dance rock track that feels more like 1986 than 2016. See for yourself below.

Against Me! has previously released two singles off Shape Shift With Me, “333” and “Haunting, Haunted, Haunts”.
