So it looks like Natalie Portman won’t be curating a film experience at Boston Calling after all, at least not this year. Instead, we’ll all have to gather together for a weekend full of eclectic music and good laughs.
Boston Calling returns on Friday, May 26th for a three-day event featuring sets from Weezer, Tool, Run The Jewels, The XX, Piebald, Converge, PUP, and others.

Thirteen comedy acts have been added to Boston’s festivities on a stage hosted by none other than Hannibal Buress, the funny man best known for playing Ilana Glazer’s part time boyfriend on Comedy Central’s Broad City.“I’m excited to take a break from my construction business to bring my unbridled energy to the Boston Calling Festival” expressed Buress. “When Boston calls, I send it to voicemail 3 times and then text it at 3am. You up?”
Other notable additions are Eugene Mirman, who has made appearances on Bob’s Burgers and Flight of the Conchords and Pete Holmes, who stars in HBO’s Crashing.

This year Boston Calling will take place at its new location at the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston. Tickets are on the pricey side, so we do suggest entering to win three day passes here.
Full lineup and ticket information can be found on the Boston Calling website.
