Take one look at Brendon Urie of Panic! at the Disco and you might think, there’s something really theatrical about this guy. His voice, his image, that hair… it’s almost as if this man was born to be on Broadway.

Well, beginning May 26th through August 6th, 2017, the fantasy will become a reality. Next month the lead singer of the Grammy winning baroque pop band will make his Broadway debut as factory honcho ‘Charlie Price’ on the highly acclaimed musical Kinky Boots.

“It’s a familiar thing, I guess, but it’s such a different world. I’m so excited to jump in,” Urie tells The Associated Press. “This is a step in an exciting direction for me because I’ve always dreamed of being a part of Broadway in some way.”

Ahead of rehearsals, this week Panic! at the Disco will wrap their 35 stop run on the Death of a Bachelor tour. Death of a Bachelor spawned three gold singles and was the highest selling rock album of 2016.
