Want to see your photos featured on LIKEYOUSAID? Here’s what to do step by step (day by day by day):
ARTIST PHOTOS: If you think you have what it takes to join our photo team, then send an email to us and we will review your submission. Please include pictures from live shows, artist stills, or something that showcases why your work should be featured on our website. If we like what we see, we will ask you to join the LIKEYOUSAID Photo Crew. We will then add you to our mailing list and send you periodic emails listing bands that we will be featuring in our upcoming features. If you have already photographed one of the bands that we mention in our email, then this is the time to send your photos our way! While a lot of the pictures on our site are taken on high-end, professional cameras, it’s amazing what a phone camera can do these days.
PHOTO ASSIGNMENTS: For the most part we send seasoned photographers who have regularly submitted to us in the past on assignments. However, if you are a professional photographer with a lot of experience behind the camera and you would like to cover a show, we may consider you for a photo assignment.
PHOTO CREDITS: Eye-catching photographs are so vital to our music magazine. We do our very best to give credit for every photo on our website, but every now and then we aren’t provided with the photographer’s name or mistakes can happen on our end. If you see a photograph on LYS that doesn’t have proper credit attached to it, just shoot an email over to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will either credit you or replace the photo. Our photos come from a number of places, including the LIKEYOUSAID Photo Crew, team members that we’ve sent on assignment, bands, managers, and talented photographers we hit up on social media because we were so damn impressed with their camera work.
