Today DREAMCAR, the esoteric supergroup composed of Davey Havok of AFI and Tony Kanal, Adrian Young, and Tom Dumont of No Doubt has unleashed their first single.

“Kill For Candy” may as well have walked straight out of the 80s. It’s a classic new wave track complemented by the band’s undeniable chemistry and Havok’s classic voice and notable “woah-oh-oh’s”.

DREAMCAR debuted “Kill For Candy” on California’s KROQ 106.7 with Kevin & Bean early this morning. This is the same station that played the first No Doubt single back in 1995 prior to giving the band a key to Disneyland and witnessing the band launch into massive success.

DREAMCAR will do a short west coast tour this April, playing their first show ever at the 300 person capacity Constellation Room in Santa Ana on April 5th. They will also perform at both weekends of Coachella. The band’s self-titled album is due out on May 12th through Columbia Records.
