If you woke up this morning searching for a laugh-out-loud history lesson about Modern Baseball, then you’re in luck. The band has put together a short documentary called Tripping In The Dark to share their story, and they even hired voice actor and “weekend cowboy” Rick Lance to bring you all of the dramatics. At one point Modern Baseball even reenacts the opening sequence from Freak and Geeks (to the tune of Joan Jett’s “Bad Reputation”, of course). The endearing documentary was directed by Kyle Thrash, who has also directed all of Modern Baseball’s music videos, as well as a handful of Levi’s commercials.

On May 13th, Modern Baseball is due to release their forthcoming album, Holy Ghost, through Run For Cover Records. They will embark on a spring tour in support of the record along with special guests Joyce Manor and Thin Lips.
