Masks, bow and arrows, flying cars, and vampires, are just a few of the striking images that make their way into “Kill V. Maim”, the latest music video from California synthpop artist, Grimes. The scintillating video primarily takes place in a secluded subway station in Toronto and shows a darker side to the singer, than say, Flesh Without Blood/Life In A Vivid Dream, the well-received first installment off Grimes’ 2015 release, Art Angels.
In describing “Kill Vs. Maim, Grimes states that it was “written from the perspective of Al Pacino in The Godfather Pt. 2, except he’s a vampire who can switch gender and travel through space.”
