In the 1960s he revolutionized music for future generations with a little help from his friends Ringo, George, and John. On July 9, 2013 he set the record for the largest single concert attendance in Fenway Park history. And in July of 2016, he will return to Boston’s iconic ballpark for the fourth time as part of his “One On One” tour.

We are of course referring to the influential musical legend and former Beatle member, Sir Paul McCartney.

The One On One tour brings together 50 transformative years of rock music from Paul McCartney’s collection of Beatles, Wings, and solo material. The first night of the tour kicked off on Tuesday and featured nearly three hours of hit songs including The Beatles’ “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da”, “Hey Jude”, and “Let It Be”, as well as “Maybe I’m Amazed” off his 1970 album McCartney, and “FourFiveSeconds”, an unlikely collaboration Paul McCartney did with Rihanna and Kanye West earlier last year.

Tickets for the Fenway Park date will go on sale Friday, May 6th at 10AM EST.

American Express® Card Members can purchase tickets before the general public beginning Monday, May 2nd at 10AM EST through Thursday, May 5th at 10PM EST.

Following the One On One tour, Sir Paul McCartney is rumored to play what will likely be the biggest show in music history alongside Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Neil Young, and Roger Waters of Pink Floyd.
