On Sunday, October 29th, the chart topping rock band, Imagine Dragons performed at the TD Garden to a sold out audience as part of the Evolve Tour. Opening the show were K. Flay and Grouplove, each of which brought the energy in the room to a consistent ten.

Imagine Dragons played two dozen songs and even shouted out an old college professor during their set. “Those are the kind of people that put us on stage” gushed vocalist Dan Reynolds. “You deserve to be up here”, he added, motioning towards Professor Mark White, who mentored three fourths of Imagine Dragons when they were just undergrads at Berklee College of Music.

Throughout the evening, the band played everything from “It’s Time”, the song that first got the band their big break in 2012, to “Believer”, “Thunder” and “Whatever It Takes” off their 2017 release Evolve.¬†They also honored Tom Petty with a commanding “I Won’t Back Down” cover and closed out the night with “Radioactive”, a radio hit that’s hard not to be completely engrossed by on the first, second, and even hundredth listen.
